After 42 years as a priest, Dean Weltsek wanted to help continue the spiritual development of the laity of the church, and said FreshMinistries was a natural extension of his interests. Dean Weltsek has served in parishes in Philadelphia, Detroit and Jacksonville. His efforts as Dean of the Cathedral of St. John’s in Jacksonville have included work in helping to establish HabiJax (the Jacksonville chapter of Habitat for Humanity), the construction of the I.M. Sulzbacher Homeless Center and St. John’s Hospice.
