Donald Miller joined FreshMinistries in 2008, spearheading the Venture Out program at Beaver Street Enterprise Center, after spending an 18-year technical career in the Financial Services Industry. A native of Pittsburgh, PA., he attended Carnegie-Mellon University and the School of Computer Technology where he earned an honors diploma in Computer Science.

In 1986, Donald relocated to Jacksonville, FL. And began working for Barnett Bank, N.A. Over a 13 year career with Barnett, he served as a Computer Operator for Barnett Mortgage Company, Systems Analyst and Supervisor for Barnett Technologies and spent his last five years with Barnett as the Information Systems Manager for Barnett Recovery Corporation as Barnett went through its acquisition and merger becoming a part of Bank of America, N.A. In 1999, Donald accepted an Assistant Vice-President position with Citibank, N.A. where he remained for five years until his resignation in December of 2005. 

Donald is a devoted father of three; his son is a student at the University of Central Florida, in Orlando and his two daughters are elementary age students here in Jacksonville. Donald credits his children and his parents as his inspiration to help build a better community.

Donald now serves as the Life Skills & JSA Instructor for the Jacksonville Hospitality Institute.
