Daniel Cronrath has been working in the field of public affairs for more than 10 years serving on staff in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and in the Office of Mayor John Peyton. Daniel has performed grant writing, grant management and public policy work on a wide array of issues including public education, illegal gun violence, park development and historic preservation.

After working as a government affairs specialist for the Pennsylvania School Boards Association in Harrisburg, Daniel relocated to Jacksonville in 2002 where he became a successful grant maker and manager for the City of Jacksonville. Among Daniel’s accomplishment’s were monitoring, reporting and compliance for over $100 million in incoming and outgoing grant dollars, the implementation of a citywide grants management software application, and obtaining millions of dollars in federal earmarks for the City and its project partners.

In October of 2008, Daniel accepted the challenge of becoming the first Mayors Against Illegal Guns Regional Coordinator for the City of Jacksonville. As Mayor John Peyton’s principal firearms policy advisor, Cronrath worked with dozens of Mayors from across Florida and the Nation in developing illegal gun violence prevention policies and advancing initiatives to increase the ability of law enforcement to enhance public safety.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and will graduate in May 2010 from The George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management with a Master of Professional Studies in Political Management.
