LifePoint Career InstituteJob training and life skills for a brighter futureLifePoint provides hands-on and classroom entry-level job training for unemployed and underemployed adults so they can begin careers in prosperous fields with skills they can build upon and take anywhere. One of the hallmarks of LifePoint's training is its Life Skills curriculum. This interactive training goes beyond standard job training and teaches valuable skills like personal responsibility, financial responsibility, employee expectations, interview and resume skills, and how to interact with other people and family members. Jacksonville Hospitality Institute (JHI)JHI offers a free, 10-week job training program to unemployed or under-employed adults so they can begin careers in the hospitality industry, offering both classroom and hands-on training in front desk operations, housekeeping and food service, as well as Life Skills curriculum. Refugee Training ServicesWe have created an abbreviated version of JHI's course for Northeast Florida's international refugees, most of whom speak little to no English. The training program is 5 weeks and teaches basic housekeeping skills, providing them a means for stable income and the foundation for a prosperous career in the hospitality industry. In addition, a landscaping training program will be launched soon. Additional FieldsFreshMinistries is always striving to meet the specific needs of communities and industry partners in Jacksonville and around the world. Entry-level training in additional vocational fields is currently under development. |
